Tamil Cinema has seen so many decades and so many poets and musicians...Compared to old songs the new songs do not stay in our minds for long... Who is responsible for this change??? Is this scenario ever goin to change???

  a posting apt for the present situation.
  The answer is simple.
  
  There were devoted music directors and lyricists in olden days and people also who listened and also enjoyed melodies. now ,most of MD s are interested in stealing English and African songs and presenting them with thier own terrific beats and other horrible sounds and also the younger generation dislike soft and sober music.   The songs sung by TM Soundarajan and MDs like Viswa-Rama have equally made such songs.
  MGR and Sivagi among others have danced for such songs... so what is the fuss about?

  some of the old songs may be like as u say , but don't generalise . today, most of the songs are terrific with beats and sounds rather than being melodious or sober or soothing. don't u see what ARR and Deva is doing ? Read the posting " HOW ARR CHANGED TAMIL MUSIC " . then u can understand how they are existing in the field. But, ARR makes good songs too , while DEVA often proves himself to be merely a "THIRUTTU THENDRAL ".
  
  CAN U PROVE THAT THE OLD MD S DID THE SAME , THAT THEY COPIED OTHER SONGS ??

  I merely stated that there have been mumbo-jumbo songs during those days too. I am not against old songs in any way...Btw, it is quite ironic to say that i am "generalising" things around here.
  
  My reply was about the statement in inverted commas only!!
  So why should i prove about old time MDs?
