  Did u even see the movie, or r u just blabbering by reading the storyline on some site on the web?
  He kills his brother because his brother was hired by bharathiraja to murder him. Later on, he joins bharathiraja for power, he threatened BR using the death of his brother to get a political seat.

  I like the ultimate message suggested by the moview. That politics is basically about people's lives. Everything that we do or touch is governed by politics. Most people think that this is a topic that should only be left to elderly Ghandian pundits who espouse the notion that only the elderly have the wisdom and not the young.
  
  Mani Ratnam has pricked the conscience of the young who are and have been clamouring for more redress for many of their grievances. It's certainly a thinking man's movie. Goondas or no, the politics of any country has to be put to the test. This moview certainly proves to be a litmus paper for the young that indeed it's possible for change, if only we tried ....

  After long time,I admired maniratnam in 'Kannathil Muthamittal'..But 'Aaiyuda Ezhuthu' is a disaster for him.I can see manirathnam got confused so much in this movie.

  He is not in a position-especially when he is the one who has murdered his own brother-to demand or threaten BR, for a position which would take quite some time to obtain. Threatening BR and demanding him to get an MLA seat sound ridiculous because BR has the power to find several button-men like him to get rid of him in no time.
  
  The best Inba can do is he can KILL BR and perhaps can get away with it by cook or crook. He must be so stupid to threaten him if he wants to live long enough. His days will be numbered as soon as he threatens BR who is not that stupid to keep a criminal alive for very long.
  
  I recommend u to watch the movies, Good fellas and Casino and see how the so called heros like INBA are getting whacked when they mess with the top men of a mafia.

  I watched Mel gibson's "Payback" a lot of times and i liked that helluva movie!
  
  Mel whacks an entire mafia + truckloads of button-men.....and guess what!! he is the one who's left standing at the end of it all!!!
  
  But mafia's different from politics!
  
  After all no mafia or thug can get away from a genocide of killing more than 3000 men and/or instigating a communal clash by pulling down a mosque resulting in 1000s of deaths!!
  
  Mafia men get whacked if they get to kill even half of that!

  well they get to play the rols of country's Home minister in charge of "internal security"!!!

  I've seen Goodfelles and Casino, but those are hollywood movies. I'm saying that AE is a much much better movie when compared to movies like Kuthu, Ghilli, Arul, Saamy, etc, etc.

  Maniratnam put a lesson in Aaiydha Ezhuthu. u don't know before tis, the politics person think about youth to enter the politic.but manitratnam make audience to think and put confident on youth to enter into politic to make more perfect. eventhough it is an entertainment movie on other hand it put a clear confident to coming youth to enter the politic hall.Well done Manirathnam.For madhavan charcter he is a really a mafia. he play is role perfectly.

  If that is true, why does it earn ONLY less than 40 marks in a kollywood Vikatan review?
  
  I dont see any reason for Vikatan to be too stingy in giving marks to MR movie unless there is something seriously wrong in the movie.

  Yet another 'Kannathil muthamittal' would have been a disaster for Madras Talkies...at last they are there to make money..if TN ppl are very much intersted in Gilli's and gollis ,then there is no scope for movies like KM.
  But by all means 'Aaiydha Ezhuthu' stands above the rest which are plain craps.Watched 'New'....What to say? it's a hit..God save Tamil cinema

  Ppl here are talking as if Vikatan marks are some sort of Cannes,Venice bench marks...it's one of those prejudiced magazine praising 'moral story' like films as great and all that.
  BTW they mentioned that the movie must have a 'Azhuthamaana mudivu'...what's that? BR killed,Surya becomes CM and cleans TN overnight...is it?if so...God save TN cinema..
