Producer Kalaipuli Thanu loses Rs 12 crores for Aalavandan. If Kamal could have co-oparated he would have saved six crores. Now this is the time for kamal to think. A Vijaykant movie "Thavasi" with a double role is doing better than "aalavadan". Two vijaykanth are differentiated with white hair wick only. Kamal unnecessarily shaved head and increased body weight. All waste.

  Who cares if Aalavanthan is a flop or a hit, it's not your f++king money.The rest of the world is going foward with tech everywhere and Kamal is bringing it to the Tamil world. Most of u people can't recognise a good effort and hardwork even if it's shoven up your asses. I guess the people got used to the muthu-annamalai-padaiapa serial.Poor guy whack the rich guy and marry the beautiful girl.

  Ram, your views on fimmaking are so primitive. You speak about technology and Hollywood. Man, in Hollywood, they use graphics and other advanced technical acumen to REDUCE the production costs. And look what Kamal Haasan has done to Thanu. He ADDED to the already mounting costs by roping in graphics which are absolutely out-of-place. And don't gimme that bull about audience taste and stuff. When you are talking about your views, talk about that alone. Let we decide what we think of what. And for the record, since you are so caught up with "audience" taste, let me give some of the "reviewers" taste too, if that helps. Almost all the leading Indian dailies and websites have trashed "Aalavanthaan". Some have even said that Kamal Haasan should quit acting (they said "hamming", actually). Now, as per your dictats, since all these eminent, intelligent, Hollywood-heavy critics have panned the movie which you have liked, would you consider yourself among the ignorant, C-grade viewer? So don't judge people's intellect with the movies they like. Now that Pammal K. Sammandam is a hit, you'd probably say that Tamilians' intellect is back at work! What bull! By the way, your loyalties become clear when you bring in the names of "Muthu", "Annamalai" and "Padayappa" (not ironical that all these movies have Kamal Haasan's long-time nemesis as the hero) in a discussion about "Aalavanthaan".   Well you have to give to it to Kamal, that he atleast tries to bring something new into the industry whether over the top madness or downright brilliance..
  Guna, Apporva Sagodargal, MMKK, Hey Ram, Avalandhan, thenali were movies which were different from the tried and tested formulaic rest.
  
  The one grouse I have, is he seems to try to hard and in the process makes a hash. I think the graphics and effects in alavandhan were really effective and innovative for tamil movies, but then if only he had paid attention to continuity, basic story/script and followed some common sense rather than make everything in a grand exercise and turn people off.

  I am not a kamal fan.But i probably think that kamal is the best actor in the world.The poor tamilians like only the foolish vijaykanth(policeman),ajith(doing vandalism)vijay(joking at girls)and rajinikanth(taking a stylish revenge on villian)They never want to see anything different.Kamal if done a film in america like american(indian)for sure today he must be an oscar reciepient.

  Aalavandhaan is a great movie...not made too well.The continuity was missing at some places..
  The Nandhu character was effective..impacting..I 100% agree that is Kamal was in Hollywood, he would surpass all the other guys here...
  For his movie making abililty, creativity, acting, physical advantages, looks, he could swallow the film world,..if he was in an international film circle like Hollywood or London..unlike people like Rajini that pull on with the same old style, unbeleivable incidences that would make the fool audiences......throw their hard earned money on the silverscreen..

  In Aalavandan Kamal has failed miserably in story, Screenplay, . He worked very hard for differentiating two characters. Please dont keep on telling Aalavandan is a great movie.
