Do any of you guys have Illayaraja's 80's songs in mp3 format. If yes, please send me the web site or FTP address.
Thanks
Mani

on average, the number of MP3 songs (in decent 128kbps, 44.1kHz), assuming that each song is about 4 minutes, is about 140 songs on typical a 700MB CD-R or CD-RW.
KK, if ur hifi recognizes MP3 format, then you could simply burn the songs onto a CD-R and just start playing (you also should make sure that your hifi is CD-R playable). On the other hand, you have the task of converting the downloaded MP3s into Audio Tracks(it will expand the size of a 4MB MP3 track to about 50MB or so audio track with no improvement to the quality) and then burn onto a CD-R which only fits about 15 or so songs... If u ask me....it's not worth it... :)
MP3 is decent when played from a computer speaker..The moment I played it on my Hifi..it was evident that the quality of mp3 is much inferior to the audio track. So, although I do download songs from the net but if I like the songs, then I would BUY the audio CD.
