Ilayaraja needs to quit tamil film industry and let the young talented musicians come to tamil film industry. He spoils the trend of modern music with his melodious 1980's type of songs. Ok he did well i Kathalukku mariyadai but after that he just composes tunes which not fits with the modern movies

  When Lord Krishna, the god himself , walked the earth , he was abused and not understood by many that he was the almighty himself. When that is the case, there is no element of surprise/shock when mere mortals abuse the genios Raaja.   There is a story by a famous director in tamil, which explains about Ilaiyaraja totally.
  
  Story begins in such a way that when, god created this world , he satisfied that he has given everything to the human. After some time he realised that still all people in the world are suffering by problems, tension, no relax and no peace. He understood that , music is the only thing which can make them happy and peace from their regular life.
  
  He decided to do something for this and he sent ilaiyaraja to this world. Now God is much happy that he saved his kids (people) from their regular tensions through music, because ilaiyaraja has come to this world.

  I totally disagree with our Unhappy Filmfam. What do nowadays "musicians" knows about music. They can't even play instruments as they should be. Any Tom-Dik and Harry is a musician now, all just cus of the latest technological facilities.There will be noone else besides Maestro Illaiyaraaja,I strongly believe that such genius are born once in a few hundred years.We should be lucky enough to live in his period.

  To substantiate my points, pls listen to one of his masterpiece in the movie"Raaja Rishi", even the creator of music, Raavanan would be in the loosing end.Just listen to the way Maestro had handled the instruments, Awesome!!No fight to this Genius!!!in Seven Worlds!!
