He didn hv much looks but he was really a good actor. Didn hv good voice so needed a dub but he had such good expressions. In comedy scenes he's such a clown; in sentimental scene he can really make us cry; in anti-roles he made us hate him; in romantic scene he melts everyone's heart. The songs in his movies are always superb. Hope you guys remember Mohan. He came like a puyal, ruled the market and vanished. He is one of many good actors that tamil cine industry has lost. Movies that linger in my heart are Osai, Mouna Ragam, Padu Nilave, Uthaya Geetham, Idhayam oru kovil. Can anyone forget the diologue, "Unga frendu kalyanamngrathalethan panam kekeran, unga kalyanamnaa naan osiyile paaduven"..from Payanangal mudivathillai. Anyone to share ya fav. scenes here...

  The entire Nilave Vaa song sequence in the film Mouna Ragam. He played the role of an understanding hubby to perfection! I simply adored him throughout the movie. He is indeed a great actor.

  Gopurangal Saivathillai is still one of my favourite movie, where Mohan is forced to marry Suhashini & then he will marry Radha who is the lover. And he will b stuck in between the 2 wives, the brother-in-law (S.Ve.Sekar), his father & father-in-law. One of Manivannan's best movies.

  i am just getting into is movies and only saw ithaya koil last week(manirathnam?). i have a small collection of films like pay mudi, saranaalaya etc....
  i want to know the exact extent of his popularity.i was told he was callled jubilee hero. a lot of the efilms have not stood the test of time but really mainly for bad scriptts, editind etc.... i heard he was 3rd after only rajni and kamal.how true

  ANIL PALLU MOHAN
  
  He had looks, style etc which captured the youth of those years.

  This tamizh film section, really lost its magnetism to pull ppl and post good messeges.

  yes KJY is one of my fav, but he hardly sang any songs 4 mohan, but SPB + Mohan combo was very very famous!

  Well yeah true SPB sang for him in most movies.

  SPB's voice suits him best. "Ilaiya Nila Pozhigirathe" is still lingering in ears. I watched Anbulla Kathaluku and thot it was quite a good movie. It is sad that he cld not make a comeback.

  Is it "Uruvam" the remake of an English horror movie?
  
  The most recent one was Anbulla Kathaluku which he starred with Rasika. Can't remember the storyline well.
