Narayanan,
It's hard to believe that at this day and age, not one single person has ever thought about collating all the great hits of Ramarajan into one website. Shame. But for starters, here's a review of Seeri Varum Kaalai, his super comeback film,
http://www.chennaionline.com/moviereviews/tammov117.asp
and of the world wide release of Karakattakaaren:

The search goes on for other reviews.....

I will never forget him for his great hit 'karakaatakaaran'. One of the best movies in tamil.

Can anybody tell me what is the story of Enga Ooru Paattukkaran? All the visuals I see is just him milking some cows and the heroine standing behind the window.
Apart from songs is there something in the movie

He is one of the top hero in late 80's. Early 80's is Mohan. Great actors!

"""Can anybody tell me what is the story of Enga Ooru Paattukkaran? All the visuals I see is just him milking some cows and the heroine standing behind the window."""
Sirpi, I think that WAS the movie: milking cows and heroine standing behind the window. In fact the majority of his films involved cows or at least one farm animal. Not much of a plot, but imagine the wonders it has done for the dairy industry.

Yeah. Only that he had two heroines to choose from? I guess Nishanthi and other one I am not sure.

The plus point in most of his movies is that they were taken when Illayaraja was in his peak. So the songs are just wonderful. The Stories are ok, my all time favorite is Karakattakaran.

Ramarajan working in Chow Kit? Thats the perfect place for him. He is also acting in a new movie called "Pottai Pasangga Naanggal" together with Abbas & Prasanth.
Enjoy!!!

i have his biography. it reads interesting but i am confused. i too like most of his early films like 'Namma ooru nalla ooru' and 'senpakame' etc.. So he does a blockbuster like 'Karagattakaaran'(I bought this cheap recently and dont think it has stood the test of time) and then within 2 years he's not in demand!!! how? where did it go wrong? how did it go wrong? i heard that he asked jaylalitha for some cash and she gave him 5oo Rs!!! true? yes, the nalini bust up etc... could not have helped but surely he can do father roles now. what went wrong. his films were casualy entertaining without too much mental torture.

Don't know, I may be wrong, but the main reason why this may have happened could be due the Open Market policies in the early 90's.
People had more access to western type of life style and thing became more urban oriented and Ramarajan with his rural movies was soon out of market.
Narayanan, as for story. Most of his movies have a similar story life. Ramarajan would be a good singer, so either he will fall in love with the daughter of the village top guy or he will fall in love with the girl whom the village top guy or his son lusts for.
The girl will love Ramarajan some duets and fights later its an happy ending. That it
