Kamal Haasan's latest film Thenali, directed by K S Ravikumar, will have a song by the actor himself as an attraction. It is learnt that the actor has recorded a song for A R Rahman. Insiders insist it is not a publicity gimmick but an attempt to bring out the actor's singing talent. Well, Hey Ram, in which he had rendered a song, was an effort in the same direction, right?

  Hey guys, it's not to bring Kamal's music talent. Understand that, Kamal is a well known singer and has learned Carnatic music from Dr. Bala Murali Krishna.
  
  The director and the Music director thought that it would be good if Kamal sings a song as per the situation in the story requires, and also, can be used for Marketing/Publicity.
