  A nice movie with good screen play, less characters but excellent performances by every one. Vivek's Theme comedy is the backbone to keep movie stright and interesting.
  
  Atlast Tamil cinema produced three stright good movies that can be watched with family (Punnagai Poove, Lesa Lesa & Parthiban Kanavu). Nice Going.

  It was an excellent movie! I didn't know Srikanth could act so well. It was shocking to see Sneha doing a double-role and Vivek was so funny!

  parthiban kanavu was really great. what made the screenplay effective was the flawless re-recording.but the story will not appeal to the masses .just look at the recent crop of hit films and u can c what i`m talking about.only hardcore action films revolving around the heros are able to make an impression.films like PK which deal with the finer aspects of life r not able 2 reach out to the crude expectations of the theater- going audience.

  it is a perfect movie.the highlights of the movie are the songs bak bak and the opening songs.the movie itself is a highlight.srikanth looks like a genius and in this he is very different from his past movies.there r no black marks on this is a movie.congrats to the movie's team esp 2 SRIKANTH,sneha,vivek and karu pazhaniappan.

  well..the theme of the movie is something like.....falling in love with someone and marrying someone else...........only after a couple of month to realise that the spouse's love is the most sacred love on earth.
  
  I feel, such movies does not talk reality....all of a sudden, when he realises, that his wife did not degrade him or his act before her parents, THE LOVE FOR THE GUY reaches saturation point???
  
  Knowing that shrikanth is married, the unmarried sneha, liking him, and wishing a husband like him, or they meeting up in same apartment etc are toooo dramatic for a realistic story.
  
  With just this as a one line story, they have taken a movie of around 2.5 hours...is too much to digest.
  
  The track of vivek and devdarshini is not very enjoyable and does not blend with the movie

  Karu Pazhaniapan's first directorial attempt is this,why are you comparing it with veterans like KB and MR,BTW 'Parthiban..' was good compared to other masala stuff which is available plenty nowadays.
  The film is a good entertainer,and the new director has done his job well,so are the cast and crew.But the music is not upto the mark.

  Just because too many masala m ovies are there one cannot say, a movie wh ich does not have strong story base as a good movie.
  
  I feel the story line is very simple and does not call for a 2.5 hour movie. Somehow it does not make u hold ur seat for long enough. U get bored!!
  
  Esp the end is too dramatic
  
  yeah the said movies were all 20 years or more.........but the same story was very very well handled in alllllll such movies.
  
  May be i dont know, it is the first directorial attempt. IF its first attempt then good job. He can try better

  Yah,even i was not fully satisfied with the movie,but taking into account the present status of tamil tinsel town,which strives for hits and churns out masalas in the name of entertainers,a debutant director giving a movie like this is defineltely appreciable,the credit should also go to the producer for taking a risk(making a movie sans masala stuff is a risk as you know).Obviously the story was not that impressive,but the way it was narrated,the way the characters behaved,and good dialogues at some points,a good extraction of performance from the cast,is definetely an achievement for a new comer(Its my opinion).
