  Kajan, i realise that Gemini is not a good film and Run had a normal story line but what you have failed to realise is both these movies so far have been the only blockbusters for tamil this year. So we cant disregard them just like that.
  
  For the worst movie....why cant i have my opinion. Those people had the right to direct and act in it why dont i have the right to hate it. Plus its just my opinion. Some people might have enjoyed those movies thats there choice!

  Even though a film is a block buster (oe ven the only block buster) it should not become the criterion for nominating a film. For actress, you have chosen to have question marks for two remaining places. Similarly the Best films list would not have suffered if Gemini was replaced by a question mark. Let us face that apart from Azhagi, no other quality film was a commercial success this year. We MUST recognize this and be ashamed and learn to support movies like KM.

  Sweet Nothing, i never said i supported Gemini. In fact i thought it was a stupid movie. I still dont know how it came so famous. The only great movies this year were Alaghi and Kannathil Mutamital. I was so sad when it revealed that KM was declared a flop. Such a waste...one of the best movies to come out of India and look at its fate. My nominations on those movies are not because i liked all of them. Sure i liked KM, Alahi. There were reasons for nominating the other movies.
  Run - same old story but Lingusamy deserves credit for his racy screenplay and he was able to win the audience over with such a stupid story.
  5Star the story was a different from the usual boy meets girl tale and parents oppose etc.
  Thullutho Illami- okay, i did not like this movie too much but it was recognised as a good movie.
  Gemini-As i said i hated this movie,no story nothing. In fact i couldn't stand the heroine. But look where it is. Director Saran must have done something right to win over the audience.
  
  My question marks for the heroines is personally i couldn't think of anyone. Maybe you can (thats why i left it as question mark). When you look at the movies this year half the movies had new faces and some of them couldn't even act! But among those new faces some could like Priyanka Tridevi, Meera Jasmine etc. As for Kiran she was not great but she is currently the heroine that is acting with anyone and everyone.
  
  IF Gemini is hated so much why did it come so famous. After that movie Vikram was declared number 1 hero, Kiran became the most sought out heroine, Oh-podu song was a rage, Saran the director was hot property and now everybody waits with anticipation for AVM's next releases. All these reasons was why i nominated Gemini not because i liked it.

  Review is differnet from labelling a film as worst.
  
  This industy is legal one. it is earning for someone. If a movie and or related artist is labelled as worst then it may or may not affect their lives.
  
  This request ( not to call worst or hated )is not only for this thresd but all over this forum.
  
  There r lot awards for goods but there is no demerits for bads

  Kajan, i disagree with you. I feel that things like "worse movie" encourges actors to change their style and choose good story. Their fans are telling them something.One of the reasons for Kadhal Alliavelai flopping is becasue Chimbu is said to be imitating Rajini style. Also it had a weak story. You never know...next year Chimbu might be back with something different and win over the audience. The truth might hurt sometimes but it is part of the learning process.

  I don't question your remarks about Gemini being a bad movie. But just because it was a rage all over TN or it became a hit, it must not be included in the list for Best movies. All I'm saying is, don't nominate it at all. We can have 4 nominations only, enough. That is what you have done with the heroines list. Because you feel nobody else merited a place in the nomination. Similarly Gemini does not merit mention near films like Azhagi or KM for being nominated for Best film.
