  was also one such movie, I guess staring shripriya and kamalhassan!
  
  Eerie movies need not be ghost movies, but the story of any movie CAN give mystical aroma, even without ghosts. I do agree most of the ghost films are comical.
  
  Some are remakes of films like "psycho", but pathetically it did not give the effect of the original version...because of our damn indian attitude to include, comedy and worthless duets.

  Athisaya manithan....I felt was more a fairy talish
  with a devil-man and 5 to 6 human beings around him, to gobble and sate his hunger. I felt the movie was kiddish.

  hehehe.....Vittalaacharya movie were full time comedy! May be with breathtaking graphics it won the hearts of yester years people. I sure like to watch those, but do not categorise it as eerie movies....(No offense meant! :-)

  Pillai Nila - Mohan, Nalini, Radhika & Baby Shalini acted. A famous horror movie from 80's. Remember the song 'Raja Magal, roja magal'. Karuppu Roja - Ramki starrer from 90's.

  remember "Pagalil pournami", starring my self(Raghuvaran), he he, Sivakumar, Radhika, Rehman..etc. Raghu comes as a samiyar, while Sivakumar is Police officer, & Rehman his younger brother, Rehman get married & go to a haunted hotel for their honeymoon, where they are killed my ghosts.

  Kalyanaraman had kamalhassan playing a ghost role...rather friendly, funny, innocent ghost.
  (could I say casper the friendly ghost ..lol)

  I remember Ambika acted in 'Pei Veedu' & not Mohan or Pallavi. Ambika acted in dual role & one is the 'Pei' which will get the twin sister to help her. I don't remember Mohan acting in it. I think the one Mohan acted was some other movie. 13aam no veedu & My dear Lisa were dubbed movies. 'Nizhalgal' Ravi was the hero in both movies.

  Sametime Buwana oru Kelvikuri also does not come into this category. But it is the movie brought new life for super* (Started acting as hero-Actually viillain role should have gone to rajani but sivskumsar preferred and finaaly he was in that role)
