Hi,
When did the pattern of having dances/songs in movies in Tamil/India start? It seems so boring and dumb now to watch the same old crap with a hero/heroine who are bad dancers go thru the same movements. Are not we getting tired of this stuff? Of course some songs are great but almost all dance sequences are BORING!. Any idea when this pattern of having songs/dances in movies start?

  I don't say that the dance sequences are boring! They in fact become better than before. Costumes have increased. Steps are much more fabulus than any time before. Every dancer has his/her own way of dancing. Every movie, there is a quite a new tune and fantastic style of movements so rythemic that they shake us a bit too!   Enough of those ,running round the trees, hidding in the bushes type songs.With A.R rahman around songs scenes are gettin much better,although the dressings gets lesser and lesser which is a feast for our eyes!!!! The Valakkamaru dance in Parthen rasithen was horrible!!!
