I think our Tamil Films are far better than other Regional Films..Right from the different story line like Sethu, Azhagi , KM etc..etc..Great Musicians like IR, ARR... Extraordinary Cinematographers like PC Sriram, KV Anand, Thiru, Ravi K Chandran..our tamil films are simply great..

Presently i've seen in lot of hindi films our guys are only working as a technician..so i'm proud about our guys..What do u all think..

Please Dont bring the Commnuity and Caste fights here...Do remember we all are indians and just we should speak about which film is better....Dont bring the unnecessary fights about the regions..Hope u all will do that

  pal, you say that you don't want to bring in regional fights here. and you are doing exactly the other thing. what on earth made you think tamil movies are better than other regional cinema? have you ever had a look at contemporary malayalam or bengali movies? technically, tamil is doing great. and mainstream cinema aspects like choreography and stunt co-ordination. but that's about it. thematically, tamil is miles behind. if there is one azhagi, there are ten rajyams. a movie like gemini is topping the charts here and the good movies like Kannathil Muthamittaal have bombed. and the movies which are hyped as good, like aalavanthaan, thrive on pretentious crap. unless a strong parallel cinema emerges in tamil, there's no reason to hope. by the way, ravi k. chandran is not a tamil cinematographer. he is a mal who started his career in low-budget mal movies. its good to see him gaining in stature and doing big projects like dil chahta hai.

  I've seen all religional films...In my opinion i think that the tamil films are better when compared to other films....i like some of the malyalam movies also....

  If u see all Maniratnam Movies , it will run only in cities...sofar i've not seen any Maniratnam movies running in village sides..Like that KM also still running in chennai...I agree that its not big successful when compared to other masala movies..But this is also running..Take the case of recent movies like Sethu, Alagi, Tamizh(though there is some masala , way of story telling is nice)..all these films are big successful in boxoffice....It will be always there in all the regions..I think even in malayalam and hindi, there are movies coming with good story line but those films are not running there also...In malayalam most of the time shakeela films only are running.. For this.. people taste should be changed completely..I think presently 40% of our population only likes the good story line , others coming just for entertainment...if this trend changes, then surely ur question will be answered
