Cinema Fanatism - Worshipping Actors

Hi All ,
Cinema is for our Entertainment.We enjoy some particular Actor more than others.We need to appreciate everybody whoever giving good performance .But we should not be a slave of any Actor.

Now this is in peek, U could find another point,
making bad comments of an an actor who is a compititor to his or her favourite actor.

Current example for this, some make bad comments and tey to create bad image to Rajani and Baba.

I agree with most of you who says that actors shld be given credit for their hardwork, achievements and for having good heart to do charity. Even some may say they do charity to become popular I think it does not matter, as long as they do something good. Instead of worshipping them learn from their good qualities.

There are some good examples of actress too. Revathi, Kushboo, Seetha(Mrs. Partiben), Suhasini and what about TamilNadu CM. She is really a very good example of a courageous and ambitious woman , who is able to stand against all odds and face everything courageously.

Milton, really good thot to start such a thread. Keep them coming!

All you ppl out there...i do totally agree with ya....juz b'coz Vijayakanth or Parthiban looks dark...one can never say they are not good actors...Parthiban is actor who has amazing talent...i admire him a lot.
But the topic started was abt cinema fanatism is it not??True...ppl can admire anybody they like....but this fanatism....ya juz cant blame the fans.....there are stars who encourage them ..dun they??For example....(i know most might hate me tellin' this)....Rajni kanth...he has mass fan following....but he appreciates it is it not?They do help their fans yes....but why dun they try tellin' them not lose their families for their sakes....many worship him as a demigod...& he appreciates it....doesnt he?
Not juz rajni...so many other young actors too for tht matter...
And abt the young gals part....its kinda true....but within their gangs..ya'll find their true likings though..
And i would juz like to mention one more thing....I like Madhavan a lot....but ya guys treat him as if....he's juz worth for gals to like...no talent ...& stuff...guys...i seriously felt his acting in KM was good....he 's not a total waste as ya ppl say...he's juz new...& there's nothing wrong in ppl liking new actors right??See its juz like most guys sayin' i like simran, jothika or anyone for tht matter..not most say i like savithri or revathi or suhasini...ppl have tht attitude...& i dun think there's anything wrong in....juz b'coz i like madhavan it doesnt mean i dun appreciate shivagi,or kamal or karthik or parthiban...ppl tend to like newer faces thts all abt it...
And another thing i find very common o'er here is tht..if ppl are fond of one actor they tend to criticize others...which is pathetic...why should one do tht???

Very very true, in fact I did comment about this on many old threads, I think the reason is LACK EDUCATION & LITERACY, I am great fan of super*, but that's about it, but for most mentally retard ppl, he is a GOD, can u imagine that? I love super* personality of being generous, I admire him for that in great deal, but that can not make him a god, y even Mother Teresa(the poor old lady) helped so many starving children, does or did any body worship her?, NO!!!.

There are so many ppl, including my self who are very generous, but nobody going around praying @ these people, it is real tragedy in TF.

I am sorry to see this, but most of these so called fanatics r really THICK! Can u imagine some fanatics love their idol, more than their family ?

I like this thread. Acting is just like any other profession and actors are not GODs. This fact has to be preached throught Tamilnadu, especially to the illetrates. Don't find the State's CM in actors group. I have another point, the magazines are another cause for these developments. They have to change the way of writing. Why should they ask an actor 'When are you jumping into Politics?'. I hate that question. An actor should not necessarily enter politics.
Regarding, Rajinikanth, I like his personality, acting, style and the hardwork that he has put in to come up this level. He truley deserves all the fame. What I don't like is pretending himeself like a poor man, living for poor, doesn't keep anything for him, which is not true. Either he should do something for his fans, or he should change his way of speaking (statments). He need not necessarily donate his money, but he can start some factories, employing his fans or something like that.
Guys throw your thoughts on this, I'll write more.

I agree 100% with you DG..

Students/Youngsters coming out in the street coming out for the social cause in Phillipines, Indonesia and China. Students have changed the politics there. But jus see in India esp in TN, youngsters are in queue to see his stars or films or to buy

I am ashamed to say this, I was one of the students who organised one day collge strike, only to see Thalapathi on day one.
