Maddy’s highly hyped Jay Jay has failed to create an impact at the box-office. The film directed by Saran is turning out to be a nightmare for producer Oscar Ravichandran.
The film was not able to get a good opening at the main stations and collections have dropped drastically and exhibitors are looking for replacement films. The failure of this romantic tale is attributed to the lack of a strong story and bad screenplay. The heroine Amoga was a letdown and she is now dropped not only from Ajit’s G but also from a Ram Gopal Varma film.
Jay Jay is bad news for Maddy who is now pinning all hopes on Mani Ratnam’s film, where he will share the limelight with two other heroes. Saran has also to be blamed for the Jay Jay fiasco as he had no story to tell with no twist or newness in the climax. His next film Attagasam with Ajit is also delayed and he has no other projects in hand.
