It is going to be more than two years since rajini acted. He is still number one crowd puller with mega fans.

Looking at the trend, he only acts every two years and now it is going to be three year. He could earn huge some of money by acting two or three film per year. But he wants to retire.

I recall one interview (four years ago) whereby he says that he will definately leave the film industry before the film watchers request him to stop acting.

He is getting old and could not perform as before. He is slowly retiring with his fame still at top. It is considered a good move and give chances to new comers.

Other actors such as Vijayakant, Sathiaraj, Prabu, etc should follow rajini's style and leave the tamil cinema industry
