Hello,
This thread sounds intertesting; If you know of good Tamil horror / thriller movie names please list it.
Here are some I know:
1. Pazhivaangum Car (?) (Seema - malayalam remake ?)
2. Ithuthaan Aaarambam (*ing YG Mahendran) (Any details about this movie from someone?)
3. Raththa Kaateri
4. 13 # veedu (Good)
5. Paye veedu (*ing karthik, very bad)
6. Yaar (OK, but poor acting)
7. Athe Kangal
8. Yaar nee
9. Nenjam marappadillai
10. Uruvam (Scary lit rooms, isolation, unconventional, good, but acting not so convincing)
11. Athisaya Manithan (Very Slow, Silent, OK)
12. Naalaya Manithan (1st part of the above)
Any good old movies?

Adding some more films to the above list:
13) My dear Liza (The Evil Dead of Tamil films, not sure if it's a non-Tamil movie dubbed into Tamil).
14) Paye (Ram Gopal Verma's Telugu movie dubbed into Tamil - Average)
15) Iravu (Hindi Raath *ing revathi, dubbed into Tamil)
16) Raasathi Varum Naal (Good & Interesting by Tamil Horror movie standard)
17) Vaa arugil Vaa (Movie's Ok, but not scary, inspired by Chuckle(?) of Child's Play)
18) Jenma Natchatram (English Omen in Tamil, slowest horror movie in Tamil ever, boring, but some parts interesting, especially 1st half)
19) Ammavaasai Iravanile (Dracula like movie dubbed from Malayalam(?), Movie's Ok)
20) Pillai Nila (Horror starts in the 2nd half only)
Of all these 3 of the best I would rate are (In order): My Dear Liza, Uruvam and 13 number Veedu.
Could somebody list old Horror/thriller movies

i think 'my dear lisa' is a dubbed mallu film called 'Lisa'(i have the video with PremNasir).it's a good film i thought as a malayalam film but as a dubbed tamil, maybe not.
other really good mallu horror films are 'akasha ganga' made abt 2 years ago. see also 'moodal manju'(some really great songs)and 'Yakshi'.try them and dont worry abt the language problem.
