  Let me see whether I can come up with some more favorite scenes to *bring back this thread ON TRACK* [thanks to "Shakespeare" for the free tutoring ;-)))]
  
  Before I start, u have got to to be Nadigar thilagam fan to enjoy this. The movie is Thillaana mohanaambaal (1968).
  
  *"sikkal" Shanmugasundaram* is an egoist but his talents are better than even our IR ;-)). He was performing his naathaswara isai in a Temple. But he got pissed by the noise from the "fire works" which apparently overlapped with program and disturbed the crowd due to a bad organization. Sikkalaar walks away with his group in an indecent manner in the middle of his program .

  While going out he meets the beautiful "Mohana" who supposed to be a best in "bharatham" and mohana has lot of respect and a 'crush' for 'sikkalaar'as well. She introduces herself and invites him to watch her program but sikkalaar insults her as he ws so egoistic and frustrated at that moment. She challeges him and insults him back saying he his nothing in front of her dance and cries out, as she 'loves' and respect him and his talents still.
  
  Everybody in sikkalaar group but sikkalaar wanted to watch mohana's dance. They humbly request the sikkalaar but sikkalaaar forces them not to watch and go to sleep. They sneak away when he was sleeping as they could not control their feelings.
  
  That was only looong background ;-)))

  Sikkalaar comes to see them and watch the scene and he was HIDING in a CORNER like a thief but Mohana noticed him and she was sooo happy to see him and feels honored. She teases him in the song,

  azhahu malaiyazhahaa intha silai azhahaa?
  
  vElavA, NAyaga, *SHANMUGA* (meaning sikkalaar)
  
  AP Nagarajan has done an excellent job. Shivaji and Padmini were like made for each other. That scene sequence came out really well.

  Wish to hear about KH fan's comment about Super*'s acting and a favorite scene?!!! It does not matter who that "gentleman" is anyway. Does it?

  Rajini acting was nothing short of poetry, subtle, more realistic and just speaks with his eyes and gentle smile. The scene where after his job gets fired, Rajini looks upon his boss and says "Naam ellam kevalam manishanga thane". First rate. Wow! Rajini where are you hiding now as an actor?
