  I haven't seen a movie of Vyjayantimala movie that I haven't seen before in a long time...they need to get more of her movies in the stores! So people who saw her Tamil movies...tell me about them! I mean, I've never seen a Tamil movie...does she speak it really good? Is Then Nilavu a colour movie? Are there good songs in them? Okai, as u can tell, she is totally my role model hehehe. She's awesome.

  Vyjayanthymala is tamil and her early films were in tamil and i think one telugu film. then nilavu songs are still considered classics. her co star in the film was gemini ganesh, who is rekha's father!!! most of that film was shot in kashmir and has some great camera work. i think her first film was 'baghdad thirudan' (thief of baghdad) alongside MGR. she does a great song and dance sequence and she was only abt 14 at the time!!! there is a pix of her on the net from the film 'parthiban kanavu'...the 1960 version ,not the latest one. i dont know much abt that film but again it has another great classic song sung by L.R.Eshwary...'roja malare rajakumari'. the studio system was still big in south india and dilip kumar was regularly working in these studio films of madras making hindi films bcs they could afford his wages without problems. Vyjayanthimala was also mainly with gemini studios and thats how she got noticed for hindi films. u wont be disappointed with her tamil songs and it'd be interesting to see and compare her early films. the songs might be available at raagam.com.
