  P. Suseela is the queeen of all queens. She will be the best for many many centuries to come. She has a perfect feminine voice. Listen to her old songs like:

  S. Janaki is my next choice after P. Suseela. She was capable of filling the gap while Suseela was not singing. But she needed the right music composer to bring out her actual sweetness & talents.
  
  Jikki is my next choice followed by Vani Jeyaram.

  As good as ever? I don't think so. She had lost her sweetness she had at one time. If she still has that sweetness, no other singers can ever go near her. She would still be No. 1. It's because she had lost that sweetness, the movie industry needs so many other singers to fill the gap she alone left.

  I like Sujatha's voice she has had some good hits like:
  Poo pookum osai - Minsara Kanavu
  Puthu velai malai - Roja
  Rosa poo china rosa poo - Suryia Vamsam

  Un samial - Dhill
  and heaps more.
  I was quite surprised when i found out she sang the "Kaadhle Pisase" number from Run. It sounded like Asha Boshle. But it still Rocks!! (the song i meant).
  
  I dont know why but Sandana Sargam always gets good songs eventhouth her voice is not that great..

  As Kuyilan said, the NO.1 always with P.Susheela. Due to ageing, she might have lost the voice tenderness and sweetness. But it is a bitter truth that no singers (currently in the field) can go near to that melodious voice.
  
  ARR stated that he likes the voice of PS most, because of her voice-quality and perfect diction with expression.
  
  Vairamuthu says "even tamilians find it difficult to pronounce some words in tamil, but this telugu speaking singer does it like anything.. i prefer to teach the tamil words pronounciation to my childern by asking them to listen to PS's old songs".
  
  Is not great to say that still PS is in No.1. Kaaviya kural konda paadagi (this honor was given by SUN TV for PS)...

  See I told you. It must be just me. I truely, honestly and sincerely believe Janaki has a terrible voice. I got no reason to lie and I don't have anything personel with her or I don't have anything wrong with my ears. You want me to prove it? I believe 'Run' songs are great. And I believe there is never been a movie with great songs than Uyire, Thullatha Manamum thullum, Minnale and Shaajahan. I also believe harini's voice is beautiful. Is that enough proof?
  
  Please listen to the song "Kathal Kaditham" from Jodi and then tell me you still think Janaki's voice is good. You too Shakthi, Nadeem and shyam.

  i would like to say, Do not point out at song which she has sung when she is 60 plus of age!
  
  Have u listened to her prime age songs?
  
  Harini and other youngsters are in their 20z and 30z.
  
  She is double their age.
  
  At 60z I am sure NONE of the mentioned singers are gonna shine as great as JANAKI

  A good singer is always compared with cuckoo bird. I used to think even cuckoo birds will envy when they hear the voice of P. Suseela. Even the angles regret for not born a human to sing like P. Suseela.

  No singers can ever be compared with the queen, P. Suseela. She's ever the model for female singers with the perfect voice culture. There are other singers like S. Janaki who sing well too.
