  Jeyachitra acted very well in
  - Satyam (Sivaji, Kamalhassan, Manjula, Devika acted in the film.. but Sivaji himself praised that JC did an excellent job)
  - Pattampoochi (KamalHassan... KH's role was negative... but JC dominated thru-out the film)
  - PaNakkara PeN (with Jaishankar... she acted in different role)
  - PoNNukku Thanga manasu (Sivakumar, Vijayakumar-his first movie, Vidhubala... JC here too excelled over VB)
  - Engamma Sabadham (Siva, Muthu, Vidhubala)
  - Prayachitham (with Ravichandran)
  - Illamai oonjaladugiradhu (acted as young widow, and showed a lot of expression.. Her character was the "main" for the movement of the film... according to director Sridhar)
  - Thayilla Kuzhandhai (Vijayakumar, Jaiganesh.. JC in dual roles)
  - KalyaNamam KalyaNam (Jaishankar... JC in dual roles... classic movie)
  - Pilot premnath (So many incl Sivaji, Vijayakumar, Jaiganesh, Sridevi...though JC was in a supporting role opp Vijayakumar, her Ceylon dance was a grand one)
  - Varuvaan Vadivelan
  
  Of course the top-class of JC are
  = VeLLI Kizhamai Viradham (Sivakumar... her character was superb as Naga Bhakthai)
  = Sollathaan Ninaikirean (what a wonderful thudukku character called Pushpa... ever-grand movie under K Balachander)
  
  Even after come back in character roles, she did very well in
  - Pudhu pudhu arthangaL
  - Lakshmi vandhachchu
  - Dhandanai
  - Maman magaL (though meena was heroine, JC's performance as Meena's mom has over-took all others)
  - Pudhiya raagam (she directed the film, MD by IR and acted with Raghuvaran & Raghuman and RoopiNi... very good movie)
  
  In TV serials too like Sumangali, AlaigaL, her performance is very matured...

  PATTAM POOCHI!!!!!!!
  this is my all time fave kamal movie....atlast sumone believes me that this film exists. i managed to get an original 'pattam poochi' song book in a junk shop as well as the audio cass. i met kamal once and itold him that pattam poochi was my fav film of his. he looked surprised amd embarrassed. kekeke i can make a copy and send u the tape...BUT...only if u tell me why u like the songs/movie. i hope u liked the movie. the 'kaniyum kiliyum' song sequence has to be one of thebest kamal has ever done. HE directed theat dance sequence.i love kamal's black and white films.

  Some of the other famous heroines of that period are:
  - Latha (acted in quite a few MGR movies)
  - Manjula (later married Vijayakumar & is now into character roles)
  - Jayapradha (did not act in too many Tamil movies, alas!!!)
  - Padmapriya (I remember a few movies of her with muthuraman, Sivkumar etc. extremely good looking , but was not very succesful)
  - Aswini (totally deglamourised heroine - acted in "Nandu", "Oru Kai Osai", and a few other movies of Mahendran)
  - Rathi (very succesful in Hindi)

  is ushanandini the same actress who acted with jaishankar in the song,"vennila vaanil oru theril naan....". if so i think she is the most beautiful actress ever. she was such a stunning beauty. lovely smile. very very pretty. gorgeous.i think no one in today's industry comes even remotely near her in terms of her sheer natural beauty. she also acted in several malayalam films.sadly she never got the kind of roles her beauty deserved. even a very recent photo of hers when she acted as jayaram's mother in 'naranathu thampuran ' showed what a stunning beauty she is/was. she would even today easily pass off as the love of mammooty or mohanlal. sadly she remains unmarried and her stunnung beauty would not be passed on to the next generation

  It is Jamuna Rani. Jai was at his debonair best in this movie. It was a good cast, considering that Jamuna Rani was several years senior than Jai.
