There are a lot of underated actors in Tamil nadu. Whenever I watch their awards, I wonder how they make their selections.
For instance, the best actor/actress award always goes to a popular hero or heroine. Which I feel is not fair to the other actors. They are good actors like Nasser, Delhi Ganesh, Radhika, Sri Vidya and etc. who do not get recognition for their acting. One fine day, when they're old and can't move much, they will just give them one "Thirai pada saathanai viruthu" and the end!
Does one have to wait till they are shrivelled up to get recognition for their talent?
Tamil industry, should change the format of their awards. They should set aside the most popular hero/heroine award to the current actors in the hearts of their fans and set aside a best actor/actress award which will be open to all, even co-stars and comedians. And they should be awarded based on performance in any current film.

I agree wholeheartedly with Unmai. Lead actors are supposed to be responsible in carrying the most important character in their films, but always end up overshadowed by the likes of Raghuvaran, Nassar, Radha Ravi, Delhi Ganesh, Talaivasal Vijay, Ranjeet, and actresses like Sri Vidhya, Letchumi, Manorama and other veterans. And I have not mentioned comedians. How many times you have seen a movie just for Vivek, Koundamani, Senthil, Vadivelu, Sinni Jeyanth, Thamu and so many others, not to forget the ever-reliable and very skillful comedienne named Kovai Sarala.
What awards have the states government and Filmfare given them. My grudge goes to them especially when they award people who don't even bother to use their own voice ie, Simran, Jyothika and the rest of their peers. What is going on?

Here are all the underated actors of Tamil Cinema;
1) Rajnikanth, very good actor, not utilised at all
2) Raghuvaran- another handsome, & talented actor, hradly given any ggo roles
3) R.Parthiban- good actor, used for silly movies like "ulle vezhiye" in the early 90's!
4) Nazaar

** Just for your info **
Yo..palz....there are lots of blind fan clubs whom calling themselves diehard fans for actors and actresses. They are simplly nutz and insane. Bunch of fanatic morons. They enjoy watching their favorite/overrated actors or actresses instead of backing/support real acting talent. Those schmucks need to change their believes and support true acting talent to switch the industry trend.
