She has only one hit, Run, to her credit. Her second film, Puthiya Geethai, was a flop.

But Meera Jasmine is now the most sought-after heroine in the Tamil film industry. She has the best banners calling her and she stars in films opposite the most popular heroes.

Her first film was opposite Madhavan, the second opposite Vijay.

Now, she is acting in two more films: Anjaneya, directed by Maharajan (who earlier directed Vallarasu with Vijayakant and Indian with Sunny Deol). Her co-star will be Ajit. She also features in Azhagam Perumal's Joot opposite Srikkant.

News is that she has also been signed by Mani Ratnam for his next film.

  meera jasmine has a got a homely n nice south indian face.she does act well.but i dun think she'll be one actress who will create a mark in this film world.my choice is simran.despite the many setbacks she has faced,she still manages to keep herself ahead by her splendid acting ability,melting looks,sexy body n dance.simran is able to do her roles really well,be it be a glamour doll,mother or a wife.she's definitely the beZ of our time.wiSh her the beSt!

  i too feel that meera jasmine cannot stand the challange from other talented actresses like simran and jyothika.like simran , jyothika also has a trmendous talent and she proved this in each and every picture. with in a short span she got name and fame what others take many years to get.

  Meera looks like *hit.I really dunno why directors are signing her.She's short,plump etc.Acting wise she's ok...
  Tamil cinema is filled with clowns..Remember isha kopikar..She had everything..looks,figure,talent etc but now she's gone...thanks to the *rse holes who thinks she brings bad luck
