Its really sickening to the core when we see Tamil men slapping their wives in movies. Why should women be treated so badly. Below are times when Tamil women get slapped.

1. when their daughter/son misbehaves
2. when she questions his decision
3. when she ask him why he is drunk
4. when she refuses his frequent sexual advances
5. when she puts up a logical arguement
6. when she earns more than him
7. when she wants to work too
8. when she wants to visit her parents
9. when she does not premit him a mistress
10. when the food she cooks is not tasty enough

It is a real disgrace when men think that valvu
tharin (give a life) when the marry. Then they abuse their wives to glory. Shame... shame ...

  It is disgusting to see in movies/serials, man hitting their wives. Also actors like Vijaykanth, Prabhu, Silambarasan etc calling their girlfriends vadi, podi. Bhagyaraj's movies mostly depict his 1st wife dead & the girl he meets next will be lusting for him & willing to be stepmum. The men also say "giving life to the ladies". In actual fact, the girls are giving them comfortable lives by providing them dowry & physical pleasures. This is male prostitution. Is this the typical India man? My impression changed only after watching movies by Madhavan, Arvindsamy, Srikanth, Surya. Probably the new generation of Indian men are treating their wives decently. Also in the new movies the guys have stopped saying "giving you a life" Isn't it suppose to be both sides giving a turning point in each other's lives ?

  I'm sick of this tamil ideology that even if ur husband is a drunken, wife beater who has god knows how many mistresses that u should stick with him no matter what. Tamil movies don't help either by supporting this stupid ideology. I say Tamil women (and me), stop believing in this c**p from generations ago.   It is 100% correct the tamil hero hitting his wife or in real life tamil man hitting his wife. Because,
  
  1. when their daughter/son misbehaves
  
  daughter/son won,t mostly misbehave if their mother takes care off them. Husband goes out for earning money for the family. So it is wifes responsibilty to take care of their children. Even if wife also earn money, then also children are more closer with mother than father, also girls cannot discuss everything with their father. Since wife is mostly responsible for their childrens misbehaviour, she deserves slapping from her husband
  2. when she questions his decision
  Since men have more world'ly knowledge than women, men too responsible for the welfare of his family, so wife should not question everything as if she is only worried about the betterment of the family. so when she questions all the time, for each and everything, she deserves slapping.
  3. when she ask him why he is drunk
  
  All men feel they have to be good for atleast time in life. Wife has to trace back what caused him to the drinking habit than blaming him. men are strong bodily but mild at heart. Men's inner strength depends on what kind of recognition he gets from society. so without understanding why one's husband drinks and not helping him to come out of it, if she questions in a silly way she deserves perfect slapping.
  4. when she refuses his frequent sexual advances
  
  In our society marriages are fixed based on, money,status, caste but never based on sexual compatibility. What is very important for a couple to be mentally peaceful is there shoud be sexual compatibility. if Either husband or wife has more sexual drive they expect more. so it is their spouse's resposibility to cooperate else "slap" her/him.
  5. when she puts up a logical arguement
  
  You cannot be intelligent all the time. It happens. This may be a wrong "slap".
  6. when she earns more than him
  
  Nobody beats his wife just because she earns more money than him, when she is not performing her duties properly in the house and if she tells
  her big salary is the reason for her denial of service in the house, gift her a "slap"
  7. when she wants to work too
  answer six is applicable for this also.
  8. when she wants to visit her parents
  
  "WHEN?" she want to visit her parents is more important than whenever, because husband may be very busy in the office or he needs his wifes help for something or her presence. So when she ask for the visit in the wrong time, and when she is not understanding your suituation and fights with you, kiss her with your hand
  9. when she does not premit him a mistress
  
  When she is not completing her household jobs neatly and timely, when she is not even accepting for a mistress of age 60 and above "slap" her
  10. when the food she cooks is not tasty enough
  
  when you perform badly in the first year of your job, company will warn you. When you continue to put a bad performance for the coming years also you will be fired. you are expected to improve but you are at the same level as the fresher. this applies to wives who cook untasty food after many years of marriage also. so she deserves slapping form her husband.

  It is important to focus on a wider canvas, when talking about treatment of women in Tamil Cinema. I am so disappointed at the fact that Tamilian women patronize this industry so much while it is actually treating them worse than shit.
  
  Right from discrimination in salaries between heroes and heroines, absurdity in always preferring heroines from outside Tamilnadu to depiction of scenes which are grossly vulgar and obscene in their male chauvinism. Women characters always refuse to ask questions, emphasize their rights. Tamil Cinema also continues to perpetrate age old concepts like Panchayat theerpu, Oor Kattupadu, etc in th is age of the boundary less world. Just shows how parochial the knowledge of Tamil film producers and directors.
  
  It is a shame that a person like Vijayakanth, who aspires to be the next CM, always talks about Tamil ( he gave a TV interview in Canada saying that his teachers fed him with Tamil and Tamil "Patru", read Tamil and he grew up on them) while it is common knowledge in Madurai that he was street wastrel. On top of that, he always wants women from North India to be his heroines to just expose their personal parts.
  
  Even from a creative point of view, it is unacceptable. Show me one case of a North Indian girl, who looks like Shamita Shetty, falling in love with a guy from Madurai. Common, give me a break.
  
  Even a useless upstart like Ajith, shows a dozen college girls ( they just look like prostitutes) lusting after him in public, though he is a bus conductor. Height of absurdity. In a materialistic class driven society like India, no decent college girl will even take a look at a bus conductor. Even then why would they behave so cheaply like some road side prostitutes, seeking clients.
