Its very sad that many in india doesn't know that manorama has created record by acting in more than 2000 films. She should be given Dada saheb Phalke award for her service to film industry.
What the f are our senior actors like rajini kamal and vijaykanth are doing in chennai.
Can't they recognize her talent?
She is not recognized just because she acts in Tamil films otherwise......

  I loved Manorama as a comedienne, she was marvellous in movies like "Anbe Vaa" and who could forget her character like Jil-jil Ramamani in Thillana Mohanambal. It is believed that she stole some scenes from Sivaji like when she tries to play the nadeswaram.

  Manorama is deserverd to get the title "Pombala Shivaji" (Lady Shivaji). One of the greatest All time Comedians in India for all times. She is number 1 Comedy Actress in Tamil for years. Many Cine Artists call her Lady Shivaji. She has shown Versatile talent for years and stayed in the Field for many generations. Nobody can surprass her World Record of number of movies acted.

  Manorama has survived only because she was willing to do any kind of role. She compromised a lot. She has done downright vulgar roles in many films, something the likes of sachu did not.
  
  She is taleneted, no doubt. But to say that she is pombala sivaji, that he deserves dadasaheb etc, is taking things too far.
