Chandiyar will be officially launched on the 18th of April at the Medical College grounds in Madurai with fans of thalaivar participating and guests including KB, Manirathnam, Ilayaraja and others.
The movie is based on real life characters who existed some 50 - 60 years back in the southern districts of TN. Thalaivar will play the role of 'VeeruPandi' in the movie.
Nazar, Naepoleon, Abirami have been finalized to play important roles in the movie.

  Dear Vijay,
  We are just discussing about Kamal.Why You are comparing Kamal with Maniratnam , Shankar etc. ?.You accepted that these directors are recycling their own movies which clearly indicates they are recycling their own ideas (Means not copying others).But UlagaNayagan is shamelessly xeroxing other directors.
  For arguement Just take all tamil directors are copying.If they are copying why should your UlagaNayagan also follow the same copying procedure ?.Let him use his own creativity (if there).Please remember , if majority of the people are doing same wrong thing , it doesnt means what they are doing is right.
  If UlagaNayagan want to give a international movie , let him concentrate only on the story.Not on the buttocks biting scene.He might have thought of pulling the crowd to theatres just for this scene.This scene is included just for his pleasure.
  Even in our colleges , some subjects are kuppai and of no use.Similar is the case of American colleges.The subject "heyram" is also one of the kuppai producing nothing.This is just to teach the students "Good movie should not be like "HeyRam"".

  If you recycle a same thing (even its ur own idea), one day it will become nothing.
  Kamal told before the releasing of each film, where he got the inspiration.
  But u are terming Inspiration equal to Xerox.Its not so.
  Can you explain how and which kamal movie is a xerox?
  
  To see a good film audience should concentrate on story, not B*tt biting scenes.
  Let you use ur Own brain(if there) to understand the class of kamal films.

  But Only the recyclers are winning.But the inspiration is gifting producers a kerchief to put over their head.Probably Kamal got this idea of gifting kerchief to producers also from some other movie(Looting from rich persons).Kamal is xeroxing movies , add some indian flavour so that movie will come for 3 hrs.(Since english movies will run only for 1:30 hrs).
  If somebody is showing butt biting scene all audience will see that only.If Ulaganayagan wants to tell some other matter then what is the need of butt biting scene?.This is the flavour he is adding to the original story.(Main thing is that there is no need for brain to add this type of flavour).But this is identical with Shakeelas movie.

  it seems the shooting of "chandiyar" got postponed to may second week for the reason "to strengthen the story"!! what does that mean?? then whatz in the firstcopy released during the muhuraat? its not very kamal-like,to delay the shooting due to the storyline.
  
  btw,i dont believe in the rajini-kamal films clash on the deepavali day.its not going to be true coz' both have have unsigned agreement that they r not going to release their films on the same day .

  Now you guys are talking sense. It happens with my thanga thalaivar TR also. He is 6 foot 11 inches without shoes. He always has problem in matching with heroines height, so he normally does not go close the heroines. Even if he goes then heroines have to step on the ladder to match his height.   somewhere u expressed worry abt the postponement of chandiyar shooting.Dont worry kamal has well finalaised the story.Postponement only due to abhirami, the heroine who has shooting till this month end in karnataka. Kamal always dont take a step back, he is a very clear minded person.
