  WELL ARUN,I'VE READ ALL THE WORKS OF THIS WRITER, BUT THEY'RE NOT EASILY AVAILABLE. SHE'S WRITTEN TWO COLLECTIONS OF SHORT STORIES AND TWO NOVELS INCLUDING THE ONE YOU MENTIONED - I FOUND THEM ALL EXCELLENT,AND THEY EXHIBIT A CLEAR GROWTH IN HER ARTISTIC UNDERSTANDING. HER FIRST COLLECTION WAS CALLED 'GREY PIGEON AND OTHER STORIES'. THEN FOLLOWED 'SPEAKING OF '62' AND 'WINTER COMPANIONS AND OTHER STORIES'. THE INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL OF MAGAZINE 'THE WEEK' CARRIES A FEATURE ON HER,AND INCLUDES HER IN THE LIST OF EMERGING INDIAN WRITERS IN ENGLISH.
