All times in EST +10:30 for IST.
A year had passed since that cold, winter night. With it their feelings for each other had grown.
But they remained silent. The fear of rejection was too much for them to handle.
With that night, Naveen had grown convinced that she didn't love him and it pained him. She was terrified, unsure of his feelings towards her.
That was all about to change...............
Neha stood in front of the open cupboard. In there was an old coat. A coat that held secrets. A coat of a friend. Her fingers traced the buttons. It looked the same as it did 8 years ago.
"If only you could give me answers," she sighed at the coat. She shut the cupboard. It was late.
She turned in for the night.
But she couldn't sleep.
That night still haunted her. She had come to accept her feelings but Naveen............
It was too much to hope for that he reciprocated his feelings. Many a time had she tried to figure out how he felt about her without asking but to no avail.
She lay there mulling things over. A thought suddenly stuck her. The coat.
"How could I have been so stupid!" she shouted to herself.
In less than 2 mins she was outside running, as if her life depended on it.
Naveen sat in the living room, watching some film.
"Lucky b*stard," he said to himself as the hero walked off with the heroine into the sunset.
He switched the TV off and heard a ringing at the door.
It was Neha.
"Neha, what.........."
"Naveen, the coat!"
His heart skipped a beat.
"Naveen, when you gave me your coat, you gave me your heart as well didn't you?" she asked, hoping against hope,"Tell me you did!"
"No, I didn't," he said softly.
Neha felt the whole world falling around her. She'd made a mistake. She'd decieved herself. The tears started to come.
"Neha look at me."
Neha looked up at him.
"Neha, when I gave you my coat, I gave all of myself to you. My heart, body, mind and soul."
She stared at him. Then crying she hugged him and he hugged her back.
"Why didn't you tell me?" she cried," Why?"
"Because I thought you didn't love me."
" I love you ."
He remained silent.
"Won't you say it back to me?"
"I don't need words to tell you how much I love you."
"Then how will you tell me?"
"I'll show you."
And saying that he led her upstairs.
To be continued...................

Oh my God, Oh my god, Loose girl and loose boy. What will his mother say about such a girl going upstairs in this boys house, I tell you, these girls are just so very naughty.
""""Then how will you tell me?"
"I'll show you."
And saying that he led her upstairs. """
Hey, we do not want to see how he loves her, we wanted to hear how he loves her.
""I'll show you said in a husky voice would work in the 70's but it is 2003, does the girl really fall for it?, If someone said ""I'll show you"" to me, Ha Ha, I think I would just laugh and laugh.
Still sweetie, your story is good, makes for nice light reading
I think you are a very romantic person at heart, Be carefull not to wish for too much of heartache in ordere to find romance like one sees in the indian movies, Sometimes life is simpler than that, and life can be mostly a bed of roses.

Fridge, yes, the ending is so 70's BUT you'd be surprised how many ppl still fall for it. Part 7's going to be great though!

Hey sweetie.. I'm disappointed.. the girl took sooo long to understand that he loved her? what if he didn't give her the coat on that fateful night?
Of course, I'd prefer a girl who understands at some point of time, rather than one who never understands :-) :-)
Does part 7 tell us what they did upstairs? If so, make it really memorable (for them, hehh, not for us, silly)

You'll have to read on. I'm keeping quiet about part 7. All I'll say is that there's going to be alot of surprises.
I'm dissapointed with Neha as well in the story but my point is that not everyone is able to understand whether someone loves them or not in a short period of time.

Sweetie and Piquant
I was just thinking If a guy gives you his Jacket, It could just be cos it is cold and he is being kind and gave you his jacket to wear on a cold day, and if they are cousins of course you can grab a jacket out of their wardrobes.
I have worn a male friends jersey , it was very cold, and he lent me a jersey, It was not cos he liked me, he was my best friend.
So how can you assume that the guy likes you from the jacket.

Fridge, Neha and Naveen have a certain chemistry between them. The thing is, they're not sure whether it's real or just their imagination. When Naveen gives his coat to Neha, it takes her time to realise the meaning of that act. I hope that clears up things for u:)
