Hi,
I don't know how authentic this recipe is. I got it from Bawarchi. I'll ask one of my friend's mom about the traditional recipe and post it later. You can use this recipe if you like.
Sukhadi
Ingredients
Wheat flour 1 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup
Ghee 3/4 cup
Method :-
1. Take a Tava & pour ghee on sim flame. Add flour & mix it till flour become reddish brown in colour.
2. Remove the mixture from the gas & cool it for few seconds.
3. Then add powdered jaggery in the mixture & add few drops of milk on it. (Just sprinkle the milk.)
4. Take an empty thali & spread some ghee on the thali.
5. Pour all the mixture & spread it evenly.
6. Leave the spreaded mixture to cool for some time.
7. Then cut the mixture of your favourite shape.
Delicious "Sukhadi" is now ready.
Bye,
CI

Hello CI,
I saw that recipe too which is plain and simple but what i had is different like they put ricotta cheese and some other things. It is a very rich one.
Anyway, thanks for trying.

Hello R,
What you had would be Sukhadi/God papdi with all the ghee and other spices.
Different types of sukhadis are made in Gujarat.
I don't want to make a promise but I would just steal some moments and post a recipe ASAP.
By the way I am a Gujarati and you would be a welcome guest to my website which is as under,

hi marfatia
making peanut chikki is very easy. dry roast 1 cup peanut and remove the husk. if desired crush or blend them coarsly. grease a plate or bakimg tray, a pizza cutter or a knife. and keep ready. grease a alluminium foil too. now take 11/2 cups sugar in a thick bottomed pan and heat it on the stove. keep stirring until the sugar melts and turns brown. add peanut powder a table spoonghee and 1/2 tea spoon baking powder and stir in so that every thing is mixed well. take ti on to the baking sheet cover it with alliminium foil and roll it in to 1/2 inch thick ness with a rolling pin. cut into desired shape with pizza cutter and leave it till it is dry. you can breake it into pieces later.

Hi,
Atlast, I got the recipe for "Sukhadi" through my gujarati friend and also tried, which I was asking you all.
If anyone wants to try, here it is-
wheat flour 1 cup
jaggery, ghee, ricotta cheese & gundar(edible gum) 1/2 cup each
dry fruits or nuts as much as u want
Deep fry the gundar in ghee till the brown color comes. Let it get cold and crush into powder.
Fry the jaggery in 1/2 cup of ghee till it gets melted and the jaggery will come on top of the ghee. This is the right time to add flour, Stir them and continue till the color changes into light brown.
Now, add ricotta cheese, crushed gundar and dry fruits/nuts, stir them till they all got mixed up well.
Finally, pour them in a plate and cut into square shape and when it gets cold, remove them.
All the best!!

hi CI
My mom used to add powdered dryfruits while making Sukhadis/godpapdis. It was very nutritious especially during cold season.
