Dear All,
can anyone tell me how to prepare typical Saravana Bhavan style Fried Rice..
My sons likes it very much...

I do not know any Saravana Bhavan style - her eis my style - try it out: Its very nutritious:
INGREDIENTS
Spices:
bay Leaves
cinnamon
star anise
cardomom
cashews
peanuts
saffron
cumin
black mustard
cloves
black pepper
(all appropriate quantity for flavoring)
veggies:
carrots - cut into small cubes
peas
beans
potatos if youlike
Onions - optional
garlic - optional
total quantity should be same as rice for good nutrition
Rice - basmati makes best ried Rice / birayani / Pulao, next alternate is any other long grain.
If you want to - u can add Nutrela (Soy Nuggets half quantity as rice)
Oil and salt to taste.
Method:
Clean Rice, Soak Nutrela (Soy Nuggets)
Add oil to vessel, add spices, after teh black mustard sputters, add veggies let them cook. Add rice and Soy nuggets after draining water, add salt. If you so intend to increase spicy feeling - you can add a pinch of garam Masala or Cumin / corianer power or Pulao / Biriyani masala - but its not required.
After rice turns whitish, and water is drained, add water (twice the quantity of rice), bring to boil, cover with lid and then let it simmer for 20 mins.
Enjoy with Raita or jus he way it is..
