raw plantan daal curry
tuvar daal -1 cup
raw plantain diced into medium pieces-2 cups
coconut-1/2 cup
cumin seeds-1 pinch
garlic-1 pod
turmeric-1/2tsp
red chilli powder-3/4 tsp
salt
water
mustard seeds
curry leaves
small onion-1
red chillies-6
oil-1 tsp
method:
1.cook the tuvar daal and water with pinch of turmeric and salt.
2.when 3/4 th cooked,add raw plantain pieces and cook.
3.grind coconut,garlic and cumin together.
4.add this when plantain is cooked.
5.in a skillet,add oil,splutter mustard seeds,then add onion,red chillies split,curry leaves and saute well.
6.add chilli powder to this.
7.season the curry with this and serve hot.
ps:this is hot(spicy)

RAW PLANTAIN FRY-1st method
raw plantain-2
chilly powder-11/2 tsp
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
coriander powder-1tsp
asafoetida-a pinch
salt to taste
oil for frying- 4 to 5 tsp
METHOD: Peel the plantains cut them in round(1/2cm) slices,wash them.Mix the dry powders and salt in sliced pieces.Heat the frying pan put the oil ,when it is hot add these pieces to it ,fry nicely for some time and than sprinkle 2 tsp water and cover it with lid.After 5 mins open and fry for some time .when it is done the pieces will be crispy and tasty.
RAW PLANTAIN FRY -2ND METHOD
Plantain-2
chilly powder-2tsp
coriander powder-1 tsp
turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
fennel powder(sounf powder)-1tsp
garlic pearl-2
cut onions_2 spoon
fresh or dried grated coconut powder-3tsp
salt to taste,oil for frying-4 tsp
curry leaves
Method: Peel the plantain and slice them(1cm thick).Put oil in a frying pan,when it is hot add onions,fry for some time than add minced garlic. Now add the slices ,sprinkle a little water till it is half done.Then add all other dry ingredients.fry till it is done.
RAW PLANTAIN FRY-3RD METHOD(PODIMAAS)
raw plantain -2
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
urad dal-1tsp
cut onions-2tsp
green chillies-3
fresh grated coconut-1/4 cup
salt to taste
oil -2tsp
METHOD:cut the ends of the plantains and cut into two halves.Boil them till it is done.Then remove it let it cool for some time.Then peel it and mash it.Than put the frying pan,add oil to it.put mustard seeds,when it cracks add dal to it,when it turs brown add onions and cut chillies to it.Now add the mashed plantains and salt to it.after mixing it well add the grated coconut and curry leaves to it.This is called podimaas .
U can make RAW PLANTAIN BAJJI.
