Never been to Bangalore. But khara bisucuits as you refer to - are basically puffs. Your best bet is to buy them from your local baker. These kind of pastries are best left to professionals, unless you have a kitchen and baking accessories designed to prepare such things. Its basically made with puff or flaky pastry. My guess is a lot of bakers use puff instead of the flaky one, as this is more cumbersome. Puff pastry by nature takes over 2 days to make. And then not to forget the need of perfect baking conditions.

Dear Member
I found a recipe for Khara Biscuits which I am sending. I really dont know if it is the one you want
Ingredients
self rising flour 3cups
yogurt 1 cup
ghee 1 cup
jeera 1 tbsp
Method
mix all the above ingredient well until soft dough like paratha.
then make small round shapes about one inch.
then put them on a backing sheet
then bake them at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes
then lower the temperature to 150F to 200F and bake them till crisp
now biskits are ready to eat!
User Comments & Tips
if you can't find self rising flour the use 3 cup white flour(maida) and add 1 and 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tsp baking powder.
