The basic pachadi recipe is : Curd. A vegetable like finely chopped onions or cucumber or carrots or a combination of these vegetables. Salt to taste. Mix these 3 and you get pachadi. Optionally, you can add chopped coriander leaves and green chillies.

Add grinded coconut with this and it would give different taste, but u cannot keep it for a long time.
This is one of the Hyderabadi Muslims way of preparation.

Always grind coconut along with mustard seeds and a little bit cumin seeds. This combination when added to the cooked vegetables and boiled once would make the pachadi very tasty. Always add the curd atlast and bring down the vessel from the flame after it. If using vendakaai (lady's finger) always saute them in a little oil well until the edges slightly blacken. Then cook them properly and add ground coconut etc.

Hi menaka.!
cut one medium size onion ,2 green chillies and a small piece of ginger into smaller pieces.Heat kadai put 1 teaspoon any cooking oil add mastard seeds when it starts cracking add 1/2 tsp urad dal,add cut onions,g chillies,ginger and curry pattha(kariveppilai).put the stove off.Add 1 cup of thick curd and salt.Grated carrot is optional.try this.

grated carrots,chopped green chilles finely, lemon juice(little),vinegar 1 table spoon,salt,curds,,its a very good pachadi and goes with everything.
