Sathu maavu is a powder made out of a combination of grains. People use this to kanji for children. It is highly nutritious. Does anyone know the ratio and the recipe?

The grains themselves will be available in Indian/SriLankan shops (a big packet containing smaller packets). One has to just grind them all together.

Ragi flour 1 cup, rest of the grains are as follows (1/4 cups each).
cashew nut, badham, peanut, dhalia, cardamom, sago, par boiled rice flour, kambu, wheat flour, barley, corn flour(both) and soya(optl.).
Few years back, i bought them as a flour here in NJ since it was not available readily just like in chennai. Currently, I dont know since nowadays, use to bring from Chennai itself because grinding them is a big problem.
About recipe, u have to dry fry them separately till it is hot. Remove and grind. What I do is use to buy most of them as flours(whatever is available) so that u dont have to grind everything.
Now, take 3 or4 tsp to start with, mix them with 1/2 cup of milk, add some sugar, cook them for few mts till it is semi solid, if u want liquid, add more milk. For the kids, gradually raise the qty. To begin with give as a semi solid and later, u can give them just like a milk.
hope this is enough.
bye
