Prepare the idle powder as usual, while grinding add 2 garlic cloves[raw].Normally we use both urad dal & channa dal for idle power. Instead of using both the dal, you may use urad dal only.

I grew up next door to a Pakistani family that made idlies on occasion. Not only do I remember loving these, I absolutely miss them and would love to introduce them to my family. Could someone please give me a very detailed recipe for this? It would mean a great deal to me. Thank you.

what is the original idli powder (we called it gun powder) recipe including dal and chili and how to make and proportion them. Either the telugu, tamil or myore version is OK or iare there differences??
