Hello,
can anyone tell me whether eating channa will increase the body weight. I want to know if channa can be eaten 3 times a week for good protein intake. But I am scared because I am not sure if its a fattening food?
Any response appreciated.

Hi GV,
Chick peas is good for health as protein intake. BUt, for lots of people, it produces gas. If the main reason you want to consume it is for protein, I would suggest you to eat more moong than chana. Chana has less protein and more carbohydrates (which might increase your body weight), than moong. Moong has the maximum protein content among all the lentils. So is Moth.
Try mixing all the lentils and eating. It balances all the nutrients.
I am not an expert on these things, so check it out before adopting any of these ideas.
