Here's two. But please be warned, that the recipe differs from household to household. :-))
MOTHAKKAM
You need:
Rice flour
Salt
Grated coconut
Brown sugar
Cardomom (elakka)
To Make Dough
Sift the rice flour with salt.
Add hot water and work on a smooth dough.
Set aside.
To Make Filling
Melt brown sugar in a wok/frying pan with water. Add salt, roasted cardomom seeds and coconut, when water has boiled.
Stir till you have a wet mash.
To Make Mothakkam
Take a small ba-ll of the dough.
Using the thumb and fingers, make a hole in the centre.
Put in a teaspoonful of the filling.
Close and gently pull up the rice dough to form a cone.
Steam in rapidly boiling water.

You Need
Rice flour
Salt
Coconut, cut into small strips (known as pal)
Gram dhall (kadalai paruppu)
Sugar
To make
Roast cardomam and coconut.
Wash and cook dhall in water.
Mix all ingredients and add sufficient water to make a soft dough.
Grab hold of a small portion and form a ba-ll.
Now, press the dough using the fingers to form an impression.
Steam in rapidly boiling water.
Note: For variation, use whole green beans (pachai payir) instead of dhall.
