Chayotte squash

Hey Aarthi,
I use chayote squash in my buttermilk curry. Chayote's take a long time to cook so you need to peel the outer skin and chop it into 1/2 inch cubes and cook it seperately till it becomes soft. A footnote: the seed is edible.
To make the buttermilk curry is easy.

It can be also used as an ingredient in Pachadi.
Just grate it after peeling and then combine with
curds/yogurt and season with chilis and whatever else you normally use in a thayir-pachadi (i,e pachadi made with curds)
