Moong dal bhajia?

I have yellow colored moong dal. can anyone give a recipe to make bhajia using moong dal? Tia

Hi Raji,
I think, it's called DALVADA.
Take 3 cups of Moong Dal
1/2 cup Udad dal
Salt to taste
Green chilli to taste-if you like hot use more chillies.
cilantro - OPT.
Wet both dal to gather for 4-5 hours. Use the food processor to make a paste. Use minimal water. You can grind green chillies with dal. Do not make very fine paste.
Hot the oil in the Kadai and deep fry small size ball ( 1 inch or smaller ). I always deep fry on medium heat.
Eat with Ketchup, green chutney, or raw cut onions sprinkle with little salt. Enjoy.

also I wanted to know I don't have udad dal what can I substitute for udad dal? (have toor dal) pls help.

Hi Raji,
Udad dal makes vada soft. If you are going to eat vada rightaway, then you don't have to use urad dal.
