  Hi Kavya,I am Ramani,I am sending you the recipe of Pongal, that I know.First add 2 glasses of rice & 1 glass of mung dal & cook them together in a pressure cooker.
  Then, after u remove it from the cooker,add sugar or jaggery to it & mix it well for sweet pongal.Jaggery gives a better taste according to me.I am sorry,I am not sure abt the khara pongal.For more recepes u cud go to tarladalal.com.

  Khara Pongal;
  
  Cook Dal adn Rice as above with ground pepper.
  
  Hav esome boiled water ready.
  
  Garnish following :
  
  Ginger
  Green chilli
  cashews
  black mustard
  jeera
  
  if you prefer adn can afford, do it in lots of Ghee!!
  
  add garnish to cooked rice adn dal, add salt, and add boiling water if its too thick to make it thinner, mix well
  
  Enjoy with one of teh recipies of Gotsu in this section!!
