Bottle gourd (dudhi)

 Yesterday, I bought dudhi for the first time. Could anybody tell me how to prepare it(peeling, etc)and suggest a recipe?

hi Ivete,
Prepare the dudhi as you would a cucumber.Chop off the top and botton portion of the dudhi and peel the skin.
Dudhi can be used to make halwa or  dudhi subji.

Thank you di. Just saw your answer. What I did I chopped it and added to a dhal recipe. It was good! But I didn't peel the skin.

it is very good with chana daal but u have to peel it and cut in cubes..chana daal has to be soked over night if possible.
