Which appliance easily available in UK is best for grinding rice/dal for idli/dosa and also for grinding peanuts, whole spices, tamarind etc. for chutneys? Pls suggest specific brands. Thanks

  i don't have any idea about the appliance for grinding dosa maavu.but i suggest BRAUN hand blender for chutneys,powdering spicesand such.its handy and the attachments are good too-for making omlettes and grinding keerai etc
