Idli batter watery?

What to do when idli batter becomes little watery.(if we dont want to make dosa)Is there anything can be added to make it thick..please help.

Hello Anu,
If you have cooked rice, add about a cup of mashed cooked rice.Mix well, the Idly Batter will thicken.
You can also add Aval(presoaked) in the batter.In both the cases, the Idlies will be soft and taste would be preserved.
