If anyone knows if the domestic version for home use of the rectangle dosa plates which are used in restaurants/Hotels for making paper dosa, is available in the market. If not what can I use instead ?

Hi Bina,
We meet here again,
You can use your regular Roti tawa in place of Dosai Plate as you see in restaurants. If the roti tawa is thick, it is better and if you want, you can use non stick pan or omlette pan in place of Dosai Tawa.

Hi Hemant,
Thanks again for your prompt response. Please tell me what is the difference between Iron tawa and casted iron tawa and does that affect the crispiness/taste of the dosa ?

Hello Bina,
Generally Roti Tawa are made of iron plates and believe it or not, often they are made of used oil drums.
Cast iron tawas I do not know, but plate iron tawa is what you will find in the shops.
