Hi Irene,
The dish you are talking about is called 'Palak paneer'. Search for that recipe. You will get hundreds of websites having that recipe.

Irene,
Spinach Paneer or palak paneer is a staple in almost all indian cookbooks. Paneer might be a little harder to get hold of since it is home made cheese but an indian store may carry it.

Hi Irene,
Try this.....
spinach(fresh)-3bunches
paneer-1pkt
butter-3tbs
onion-2medium
tomatoes-2
ginger garlic paste-1tsp
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
red chilli powder-1 1/2tsp
coriander powder-1 1/2tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala powder-1/2tsp
cream-1/2 cup
salt to taste
Method:Melt one tsp of butter, fry the paneer cubes.Wash and chop spinach finely.cut onions, tomatoes into small pieces.Fry onions, ginger garlic paste and tomatoes nicely than add spinach and fry till it shrinks.Allow it to cool and grind it to smooth paste.Heat the rest of the butter add spinach mixture and all other dry ingredients to it.Add cream and garam masala powder cook it in slow flame till ghee floats on top.Now add fried paneer cubes to it.In US readymade paneer is available in Indian stores.
