Hi,
Clean the prawns 2 cups.
1 medium size one chopped finely, one tomato chopped, ginger garlic paste 1 tsp, turmeric pdlittle, 1 tsp chilli pd, 2 tsp dhanya pd, 1/2 tsp jeera pd, salt to taste and little garam masala, oil .
Heat oil in a pan, season it with curry leaves, jeera sombu cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf. ( all little just for smell). then fry the onions , add ginger garlic paste and fry well till raw smell disappears, then add tomatoes, and fry well, once it gets mushy add all masala powders and cook till oil separates, then add the prawns to it cook till done, add salt and garam masala.
if u wish u can add potatoes cut into small cubes just to make more quantity.
I made this prawn curry when my inlaws came here and they liked it.Try it and let me know.

Hi RamishA,
Thankyou for letting me know abt it.
If u like adding coconut to ur cooking, then try this, make a paste of coconut, ginger, garlic, jeera, saunf and khuskhus. then after adding the chilli powder and other masalas ,add this coconut paste and fry till oil separates and raw smell disappears.do not add ginger garlic and jeera powder in starting as we r adding that in the paste. this dish becomes rich due to coconut paste added in it.If u have more patience u can roast all the items with coconut and then grind.t is more tasty then but i dont add coconut atall.
u can keep this prawn masala in pastry sheets and make prawn puffs too.
Bye.

Hi KH,
Sorry for replying late, I buy prawns in sams clubs( they are cleaned and cooked) i have tried king prawns and medium sized prawns too. If u know how to clean prawns then u can try with fresh one as it is even more tasty. i donno how to clean the prawns, so i buy those frozen ones. when using these frozen ones dont over cook the prawns as they are already cooked, it will become more tough then, just cook till the spices and flavour get into the prawn.
bye

I don't know how to cean the prawns and also i've never cooked prawns before. Can u suggest me any particular brand or something i should look for? Sorry for bothering you again and again.

Hi KH,
Yeah the prawns in india r too small and after cooking it becomes even smaller, i got " member's mark" brand medium sized shrimps, i actually didn't see the brand name until now. ( just used to pick whatever is available in sams) it will be written on the packet as cleaned and cooked. If u have any other doubts do ask, glad to help u.
