hi, i accidentally post my question in the response section, so let me try this again. i have a friend who loves curry but is allergic to coconut milk. he still attempts to eat it, but i am hoping to find a less health risk way for him to enjoy curry. any help would be greatly appreciated. (for the substitutes, does it still taste like awesome curry???) thanks!

Chey,
Try almond milk or even beaten curds. Beaten curds give a superb aroma to gravies.

Almond milk - Soak almonds in water, blanch and make a puree.

for certain curries like kurma, stew etc,you can even add milk(cow's milk).

I have found soaked and ground cashew to be an excellent substitute for coconut milk.
