Hi Mini:
You can also try a Special Chicken Stew.
Ingradients:
Small Chicken pieces,Mushrooms (cleaned and cut into big pieces),Green pepper (cut into long thin pieces),Ginger (chopped),Garlic (chopped) ,Curry leaves, ground black pepper, turmeric powder. Coconut milk: 1st extract and 2nd extract.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add green pepper. Saute for a couple of min and keep aside.
In the remaining oil,fry ginger, garlic. Add mushrooms and saute for a min. Add curry leaves and saute. Add turmeric powder and sault. When you get a nice smell, add chicken pieces and saute for some time. Add coconut milk 2nd extract and let it simmer. When it is 75% done, add green pepper, mix and allow to simmer. When the gravy thickens, add the 1st extract of coconut milk. Mix by rotating the pan. When it just starts to boil, remove from fire. Serve hot.

Hi
Do you have any idea of "grated mango pickle" (north indian dish) which goes along with Chapathis and all?

Yes Sarah, I got your recipe(upma). But I couldn't try it yet, still I am in doubt. In your recipe you mentioned wheat rava. What I have is broken wheat( not too fine like rava). Is it Ok?
Thanks Roy for the recipe. I will try soon.
Cheers

Yes Mini
I only meant Broken Wheat rava...U can try ..The broken wheat rava crystals would be a bit smaller or equal to the broken rice crystals(Noi arisi) that you get for Kanji...
Just try out
