Many recipes for idli call for soaking and grinding parboiled rice. However I noticed that if I soak and grind parboiled rice it becomes quite gummy and sticky and downright disgusting. Are there any tricks to using parboiled rice in idli recipes? Please help. Thanks.

I think there is parboiled rice for cooking and another for making idli. When I used uncle ben for making idli it was awful.
