I am curious. Would it ruin the texture or fluffiness to pop one of the balls of dough into a tortilla press and flatten it? My mother sometimes uses a tortilla press to get a thin chapati and it seems to work okay. I'm just wondering if the nature of this roti doesn't lend itself to being handled in a press.

a simple lentil tomatoe curry...
4-5 large tomatoes, 1 carrot, 1 cup lentils,
cut tomatoes in qrts and boil soft... remove skins, add lentils, continue boiling till almost soft, add diced carrot and tumeric powder...in a separate pan fry slices 3 small onions, garlic 3 pips, curry leaves, mustard seed 1/2tsp until onions turn brown and pour into the tomatoe gravy. add salt to taste and 3-4 tables evaporated milk to obtain thickness. let boil till 1st bubbles appear and remove from fire. goes well with all breads including a rice meal
